Depression: Concurrent validity of the DSM-IV scales Anxiety Problems and Affective Problems of the Youth Self-Report

Authors: Van Lang NDJ, Ferdinand RF, Oldehinkel AJ, Ormel J, Verhulst FC

Measuring symptoms well is important for high quality research. This research investigated whether the world-wide used questionnaire, i.e. Youth Self-Report, is suitable for the measurement of anxiety and depression symptoms. Depressive symptoms were measured well; however, the question is whether anxiety symptoms are measured just as well. The questionnaire may need to be adjusted.
