About TRAILS

TRAILS (Tracking Adolescents' Individual Lives Survey) is an ongoing, multidisciplinary research on the psychological, social and physical development of adolescents and young adults. More than 2500 young people participate, since their tenth or eleventh year. More over 20 years, these participants have been examined every 2 to 3 years, through questionnaires, interviews , tests and/or physical measurements.

Not only these youths provide us with information, but also family members, teachers and partners. The recently launched TRAILS Next research focuses on the children of the participants. Here you will find information about the objectives of TRAILS, the different domains which the study covers and the characteristics of the study. Also, information about the TRAILS team can be found here.
